Applied UK secure new contract.

We are pleased to announce that we have recently secured the contract to manage the complete 7m+ refurbishment of Scotland’s main chicken processing plant at Coupar Angus.

The 2Sisters facility provides slaughtering, cutting and whole bird retail packaging at its site in Angus and providing quality commercial poultry products to the highest standard.

Their products include:

• Whole birds,
• Smart price chicken
• Skin on/skinless Elmwood fillets
• Standard welfare Elmwood 
• Free range birds.

Adhering to their strict sustainability guidlines we look to ensure minimal environmental and climate impact whilst concentrating on innovation and waste reduction.

RAC Cooling Industry Award finalists - 2014

It’s been a good year, so far, for Applied UK and our confirmation in September that we were finalists in the RAC cooling industry awards served as an indication that our skills as refrigeration consultants are recognised as being some of the best in field for our industry sector.

Artic Circle, along with Stonegrove Refrigeration were all part of the same team that helped in the upgrade of the Fox’s Biscuits Uttoxeter factory site. Working in collaboration with our customer, Fox’s Biscuits we were able to provide hydrocarbon chillers into the site.

The successful project, which required us to deliver four 350 kW R290 chillers offering 1.4 MW of cooling, was delivered on budget, to the agreed specification and on time,  was all due to the close collaboration and team working of all involved. This involved using virtual techniques to visualise, plan and configure the installation in advance – viewing system components even prior to anything being built.

The close working relationship between all involved, including the customer involved regular meetings, information sharing and total collaboration throughout the project – something that really paid off by the end of the project.
