SPAR Sedbergh
The challenge was to build an environmentally acceptable store within the Lake District National Park upon the site of an abandoned livestock auction mart in the rural village of Sedbergh.
The site was to be jointly occupied by a 3000 square feet convenience store and a local health centre. Due to it's location, the planning of the store had extra conditions placed upon it.
As a result it was decided at an early stage to make this store a trial store for major new technologies.
